Last week, exoticcars.tv sold for $2,375 according to SEDO’s home page.  Following the most notable dot tv sales reported earlier this month, this is yet another strong sale for the extension especially considering that its a two-word domain name with a decent overture score of almost 20,000 for just the terms “exotic car.”

Late last month, Brightspot.tv shut the lights of to its website off to “develop the next iteration of the service,” which rewarded consumers for watching advertisements. For more info, see this article, which was courtesy of SKG of NamePros.

The holidays have not paralyzed the interest of potential dot tv domain name buyers. 

Tipped off by Ray on NamePros, DNJournal reported four .tv sales that might surprise you:

Sedo.com reported that JazzOn.tv sold for $4,433.  Great to see the extension is doing well.

The following domain names are up for auction at Sedo.com.  Each name is followed by the amount bid (converted to US dollars if the native currency is not USD), the number of bids, the time remaining in the auction, whether the reserve has been met, and any unique hits if specified by Sedo.  All auctions still have two or more days remaining before they close:

First and foremost, I would want to know whether any .tv names carry premium pricing under the Verisign pricing structure before I even considered bidding on them because renewal pricing influences a domain’s value more in the .tv extension than other extensions…

As of this morning, Narrowcasting.tv appeared in the top row of the Recent Sales column on the Sedo.com home page, selling for 575 Euros, which is approximately $793 USD. 

My initial feeling was that this amount seemed a little high for an obscure name such as Narrowcasting, which I had never heard of, but thought I should do a bit more research before I dismissed it completely (and good thing I did).

There was a parking page at narrowcasting.com, so I pointed my browser to Wikipedia to see what I could dig up about Narrow Casting.  found no entry for “Narrow Casting,” but did find one for both “Narrowcasing” and “Narrowcast.” More on the jump…
