Thanks to the efforts of Ray and Dottie, the team behind Auctionsite.tv, Ron Jackson mentioned the upcoming online .tv auction to occur on AuctionSite.tv, August 6 - August 10, on the lowdown section of DNJournal.com.
.TV fans will be interested in an online auction of .TV domains coming up August 6-10 at AuctionSite.tv. A group of .TV aficionados banded together to develop the concept and site so the video-centric extension could have its own dedicated space in the booming
secondary market. A different set of domains will be auctioned off during each of the five days the event will run (starting at 2pm U.S. Eastern time each day). The names scheduled to go on the block include Map.tv, HS.tv, Republican.tv and hundreds of others. You can see the complete auction list here.

Ever since I first started domaining, I was always curious about the DN Journal. Not so much because of what was written in it, but who it was written by.
I come from a few different career backgrounds, including, in no particular order, property, banking and investments and telecoms. None of these prepared me for the cutthroat industry of domaining.
I waltzed in after reading an article about earning hundreds and thousands by parking silly names like flashgames.com. I knew then that the industry was waiting for me to arrive and really shake things up and I did, in 2006, and promptly dropped alot of money by being cleverer than everyone else.

Allthings.tv is only a couple of months old and experiencing the challenges that any start up blog comes up against; how to get your voice heard in an internet soup of bloggers that are blogging about the same things you are blogging about, and whom have been doing it for a whole lot longer than a couple of months..
My answer is simple. I write from the heart. Many bloggers do not. Either they simply do not have the time, are not fully committed, are not sure what they are passionate about, or simply don’t care.....
Well, that helps narrow the competition; a lot.
And so Allthings.tv had its first major interview with Demand Media that I posted on Thursday evening to great reviews.
Friday morning however, I find out that Ron Jackson, owner of Dn Journal did a write up on the interview on “The Lowdown”.
Well, that narrows the competition further still!! Not everyone makes it on to Dn Journal. Ron obviously felt that the interview was newsworthy enough to warrant commenting on.
And quite possibly Ron recognized that I was speaking from my heart. And for that, I am very grateful.
