Dot TV    Contact Us

As you could probably tell by the lack of new blogs for the last few weeks, I decided to take a break because I wanted to step back and survey the domaining environment without having much if any involvement in it AND I wanted to return with a fresh perspective.  That is not to say that I wasn’t already overwhelmed with the additional consulting and development work I agreed to do for other people.

First things first…

Demand Media, the company responsible for marketing the premium side of the dot tv domain name extension, recently raised another $35M in Series D Funding.  However, its unclear where it intends to invest this money as its dot tv business is only one of many.

If the economy is, geo dot tv domains will not cool down any time soon as evidenced by the sale of Seoul.tv for $5,000.

Obviously, geos or geography related domains offer an incredible number of potential revenue streams.  What isn’t so clear are the costs to procure those revenue streams.  I know a number of people that are focused on developing geos and hope to learn more about establishing a geo domain first hand.  I will let you know more info when I receive it.
