With the battle getting more intense every day for the online video market, Jeremy Allaire of BrightCove is a cut above the rest.

Not because of his business model, nor because of the amount of venture capital he has invested, but because he is a rare breed of entrepreneur that sees the future now, recognising the ability the internet has to destroy established forms of media, rip apart existing and proven advertising models that have dominated marketing strategies for decades and is constantly on the lookout for complacency - his own that is.

Allthings.tv really enjoys spreading the word out there when we come across a good .tv site. RealMeals.tv is one of these. Powered by the BrightCove platform, its visual impact is immediate upon landing on the home page - a video short starts rolling and close up footage of a chef frying tomatoes, cutting up avocado and shrimp boiling in a wok grab our attention. The next short zooms in on someone in their own kitchen cooking up pasta.

And that is what I like about Real Meals – this is a channel absolutely born for the tv extension. A library of well stocked pro and homemade video recipes, the latter created and sent in by users, RealMeals.tv makes cooking food + community = fun.

Those of you with armed with a MAC, a video camera and a little of creativity have alot to look forward to with this channel offering using the BrightCove platform. This podcast channel covers Macintosh-related news, tips, tutorials and troubleshooting as it relates to a multimedia production. There is something for everyone from pros to home users.

Obviously catering to the amateur videographer, there is no doubting its simplicity of both subject matter and advice on how do get the best video shoot using very basic principles. Great for Mac users, not so great for those of us stuck in the dark ages of Microsoft.

Not every company or individual has the resources to pay a third party to produce compelling featured videos designed to attract new members to their site.  If you decide to take on this challenge, it is important to understand that there are significant differences between producing video and producing good video content for your site.

While producing good video content is a trap for the unwary and can be a challenge for those that never attended film school, I explored the Internet for some of the best information and resources to help you film and produce videos the right way.
