The geo (short for geography or geographical) domain space is becoming red hot, particular in the dot tv extension since the extension lends itself particularly well to the kind of coverage one might show on a geographically oriented site.  For example, Vanuatu dot TV…

I saw KickApps 1.0 and it wasn’t something even worth mentioning or discussing.  A colleague of mine insisted that I had to check out KickApps’ latest version, 3.0, which, “KickApps 3.0 makes it easier than ever for web publishers and developers of all levels and experience to deploy Social Networking, UGC, Programmable Video Players and Widgets.”

Sounds like standard marketing BS right?  Can there really be a solution to the novice or amateur web developer’s needs?  According to their website, “[t]he new release dramatically extends your ability to manage media, members and reporting, all essential to growing a successful community. Additionally, it contains more site customization and syndication as well as features that are designed to create a more engaging experience for your community’s members.”

I decided to head over to their website and stumbled upon this video, which is worth checking out if you have not seen it…

In a recent study released by Merrill Lynch, they reported that the Internet gaming industry is still in its infancy, predicting the market to generate $528 billion worldwide on an annual basis in 2015.  Compared to 2006’s earnings of approximately $15 billion, there is little doubt in my mind that the online gaming industry will continue to be one of the fastest growing e-commerce industries on the Internet.

The first fifteen minutes of the Bill Gates and Steve Jobs joint interview from the AllthingsD conference. Some nice comments to and about each other aswell as a few amusing anecdotes. Hands up all of you who knew that Apple was born in 1975!!

Ladies & Gentlemen,

It is not often that you have a technology conference with such a line up of superstars and icons of the industry. I will attempt to place each video on Allthings as they become available for your viewing experiance.

I know this much. I will be attending next year’s conference if my health permits. Me and Kevin had no idea of this blog AllthingsD.Com when we chose our name for Allthings .TV. We are glad though that if we have a similar name, it should be so similar to such as prestigious organisation.

Moss Waltberg and Steve Ballmer have not always seen eye to eye over the years and that comes across plain and clear. But there is no denying Walt being impressed by the very scary capabilities this new product has.

We couldn’t talk about mashups and not have the widget “thingimijig” enter into the conversation sooner or later. All part of this Web 2.0 environment I am afraid!!

Alot of you know what a widget is already and thats ok. This article is written for those of you who do not, or who know what it is but have a problem in accurately defining it. The article will also point out where the great widget download sites are located on the internet landscape.

This is not my article, but one written by Frank Gruber in his blog “Somewhat Frank”. It is a well written piece and one that I think is worthy of reprinting.

Since taking on a role here at AllThings.tv, I encounter a lot of things I know nothing about, but my job is to learn as much as possible.  Fortunately, I am able to ask a lot of questions like, “How did they do that?” or “Can you show me a great example of that?”

Recently, I participated in a conference call with four other executives and one of them continued to talk about Mashups.  According to wikipedia, Mashups (or Mash-ups) are websites/applications that combine content from more than one source into an integrated experience.  Its the mixing together or combination of different data or applications into a new, single application that offers something different.

After the conference call, one of my colleagues sent me a link to a video that helps to visualize and understand what mashups are and why they are the cool, new breed of applications.  Check out the video after the jump.
