If the economy is, geo dot tv domains will not cool down any time soon as evidenced by the sale of Seoul.tv for $5,000.

Obviously, geos or geography related domains offer an incredible number of potential revenue streams.  What isn’t so clear are the costs to procure those revenue streams.  I know a number of people that are focused on developing geos and hope to learn more about establishing a geo domain first hand.  I will let you know more info when I receive it.

Last week, exoticcars.tv sold for $2,375 according to SEDO’s home page.  Following the most notable dot tv sales reported earlier this month, this is yet another strong sale for the extension especially considering that its a two-word domain name with a decent overture score of almost 20,000 for just the terms “exotic car.”

Late last month, Brightspot.tv shut the lights of to its website off to “develop the next iteration of the service,” which rewarded consumers for watching advertisements. For more info, see this article, which was courtesy of SKG of NamePros.

The holidays have not paralyzed the interest of potential dot tv domain name buyers.

With the surging popularity of dot tv names, it should come as no surprise that the number of registered dot tv names is approaching half a million (500,000).  At the moment, DomainWorldwide.com is reporting that 473,168 dot tv names have been registered.  Out of all domain extensions, .tv ranks 11th, but it could easily increase in rank to…
