No website is perfect and neither is Tulsa tv, but it does come pretty close!!.

If you are holding with me from the start, I am in the process of reviewing existing geo tv sites and the opinions expressed are my own, not that of Allthings.tv.

So whilst I was disappointed with Boston tv, I am about to rave about Tulsa. Others may look at Tulsa, shrug their shoulders and say “whats the big deal!”

So here are some of the reasons I like Tulsa tv.

It acts as a one stop shop for the local community. You want to listen to the radio, just click the radio tab and a list of available local stations pop up. Want local headlines? There is a dedicated feed service that presents the very latest news in both local and international news.  Movie tickets? Done. Local businesses? Its all there. There is even a tab dedicated to local bloggers and press releases. How’s that for free publicity.!!

It doesn’t seem to have a social network, I certainly couldn’t see a register tab on the home page, but apparently people can comment on local articles that have been submitted from different business people in the community.

People can also leave remarks on amateur videos on the site hosted on the Tulsa tv player. I am not sure if these are user submitted videos or editorial submitted videos . I couldn’t find an upload button on the site.

But the fact that it does not have any real user generated content does not take away from the site. Essentially Tulsa tv is a search powerhouse for everything happening in Tulsa. That is their business model. Local businesses can list and pay more to get listed to the top of the page in their category.

They can submit their own video of their business or have one made for them by Tulsa’s video production team. And they can pay extra to have their videos featured.

These videos really are of superb quality. The graphics aswell as the actual footage make it a delight to watch.

It seems like they have the entire business community advertising on their site, probably on a CPM basis, but I counted at least 20 separate banner ads/text links. And with over 1 million page views in April, (they have their stats page made public which I think is pretty cool) that CPM does very nicely.

Overall, the website is a joy to look at, has the best quality video business video shoots I have come across and would certainly be my home page if I was living in Tulsa. If there is one thing I would want to see on Tulsa.tv that is not there, it is a tv channel, to watch the news on rather than read off a feeder.

Overall though, I give this site a rating of 8 out of 10.
