Today I was privileged to witness something very special indeed.
William Brister, with twenty years in telecoms, four years in the air force and most recently, a year or two as a very successful .com domainer, took the time to fly out to Phoenix to share his personal story with me and Kevin about how he has got involved with .tv and why he has fallen head over heels in love with the extension.
William discovered Allthings.tv through a link on BrightCove’s corporate blog page and had wanted to meet Kevin and I to bounce some ideas off each other on how best to promote .tv aswell as get our thoughts on where the extension is headed over the next 12 months or so.
Not having too much time in his schedule, we basically all met up at the hotel he was staying in near the airport, and Kevin took out his mic and tape recorder and the conversation started to flow.
For one hour, William, of whom neither of us had heard of a few days prior, was answering questions about his love for .tv to Kevin as naturally and as comfortably as if they had know each other since childhood.
That is the power of .tv. To bring like minded people together who share a passionate interest in the future of the internet. It was truly magical to watch. ‘
I wish William the very best is in his .tv endeavors and I am sure he will fly the .tv flag for many years to come.
Kevin will release the blogcast in the next ten days or so, workload permitting.

No interview??
Sorry...got the answer…
Is he an investor or developer?
Both Sanchay.....
William has a portfolio of .tv sites that are in stage 1 development and is looking to grow his portfolio over the coming months.
The interview will be coming shortly. I return to the office on Wednesday and will upload the interview as soon as it is ready.
Interesting.
This is actually why I believ .tv will be successful. People are passionate about .tv.
I flew interstate to catch up with another .tv fan last year and had a great day throwing ideas around. I suspect that these sort of meetings may be more common that we imagine.
DTVF
Its out of these meetings-emails-chats-phone calls that great ideas are born!
With people working together, bouncing ideas and using each others talents .tv sites will be developed that look like nothing seen to date. There really is no limit to where we can all take this extension.
Exactly Grant/Meeks,
The meeting was especially sweet since William has made his money from .com and does not need to bother with .tv - the reason why he bothers is the same reason we do....this is more than a hobby, and a game..this is the oppurtunity of a lifetime!!
Just arrived home. I need to upload a previous interview and prepare this one. Shouldn’t be much longer now…
