Read On Vator.tv is a unique video-centric environment for entrepreneurs to meet funders, strategic partners and vendors.  I stumbled upon this Vator.tv video and thought some AllThings.tv readers would enjoy it.

Being an entrepreneur is exciting, but also challenging. Advice from other entrepreneurs and innovators who have experienced the ups and downs of building an organization or developing an idea into a product can be helpful and inspiring for one’s own venture. Thus, Vator TV decided to put the spotlight on some of the innovators who shared their lessons with the Vator community. In video that follows after the jump, Peter Thiel discusses the challenges he faced as he was pitching and building PayPal. Other famous entrepreneurs and investors in the Vator community, including Vinod Koshla, Mark Cuban, Tim Draper, Trip Hawkins, Chris Larson, Vivek Ranadive and Blake Krikorian share their views on what makes or breaks a company. Finally, Peter talks about how the late economist Milton Friedman has inspired him as an entrepreneur.

Read OnAll I can say is that I never though the day would come when .tv pricing would reach single digit numbers.  Today, I noticed that Go Daddy lowered thier .tv pricing even further to $9.99 for registration.

A single bid by a lone bidder met the reserve price for Hot.tv at the recent Domain Roundtable live auction.

Obviously, there are limitless uses for Hot.tv, but I sincerely doubt the owner will run for president like the individual using Hot.com

Today, Go Daddy announced the availability of a tool called Quick Blogcast, which combines two of its existing products Quick Blog and Quick Podcast.  According to GoDaddy, Quick Blogcast can be used to create multimedia sites at .tv domains and other websites.

Rather than bundling value-added services with the sale of domain names, like eNom does with its Channelme.tv service and .tv domain names, it seems like Go Daddy’s strategy may involve offering lower prices on domains and offering services like Quick Blogcast separately for those that want to take advantage of them.

Press release after the jump!

Read OnAs many of you know, AllThings.tv is the most frequently updated blog that covers the .tv extension exclusively (though I admit I have been busy managing my personal .tv portfolio and developments and have had less time recently).

One of the more exciting aspects of the work is conducting interviews with some players in the domain and Internet video industries (all of which are on the AllThings.tv website as blogcasts and there are even some video interviews).  Soon I will be able to add none other than GoDaddy’s founder, Bob Parsons, to the growing list of AllThings.tv interviews.  Bob Parsons is a man many associate with domain registrations, especially after the GoDaddy series of Super Bowl ads run in past years…

On Wednesday, August 15, you can watch and participate in Domain Roundtable 2007 at the Sheraton Hotel in Seattle, WA. Until the auction starts.  It turns out, they setup a live feed at uStream.tv and are now broadcasting a preview of the names available and also part of their DomainRoundtable conference. The conference is August 12th-15th. If you would like to bid on a domain name in the auction, you can register at http://www.DomainTools.com and participate from anywhere in the World.

Has Bob Parsons lost his mind?

Is Bob stealing the thunder from Richard Rosenblatt?  Who will go down in history for the success of .tv?

If Bob continues his assault on .tv pricing, .tv could become the number one extension!  Okay, that was a joke, but how low can he go?

You will have to click to READ ON to read this entry because I wanted to preface the entry with this message:

If you think you own a domain name particularly suited to a niche market, then please contact me AFTER you have read the blog entry on the next page.  I have a unique opportunity I would like to share with you if your domain name meets that criteria and you are interested in developing that name.

Forget squeezing millions from a few megahits at the top of the charts. The future of entertainment is in the millions of niche markets at the shallow end of the bitstream.

Isn’t .tv well suited for this purpose if we are talking about Internet video?
