Visiting one of the links from GoLeft.tv, the topic of a previous blog, I encountered Headzup.tv.
What is headzup.tv?
Founded in 2004 by John and Joan Shay, Headzup is Catch & Release Comedy™ For Cell Phones And Video iPods. Published daily, Headzup editorial cartoons and parody clips are designed to be downloaded to cell phones and shared as picture messages. Fans who “catch” a headzup on their cell phone typically personalize the clip by adding their own text message before “releasing” the clip back into the wild… also known as sending a “headzup” to a friend.
Its got a lot of politcal satire and parody. Worth checking out because the clips are usually 15-20 seconds long.

I stumbled into GoLeft.tv, another .tv website, which uses video to deliver “news, commentary, and entertainment” on the issues most important to Americans.” Based on the press release I accessed on the website, GoLeft.tv launched on May 29th of this year.
As the power of the web is realized, I would expect to see more sites with political agendas pop up on the Internet. This is the first website I have encountered with significant political leanings. Not bad, just very interesting to watch the web evolve as traditional media penetrates the digital layer.

In its basic form, domain leasing involves a periodic or fixed payment ("Lease Payment") made by the person leasing the name (the “Lessee") to the domain owner (the “Lessor") for a specific time period (the “Lease Term").
During and for the length of the Lease Term…

This may be the question hundreds of companies ask themselves when launching a video/multimedia site. The bottom line is that every company cannot risk losing the .tv version of their name if they choose to use tv.com for their video/multimedia website. The reason is that visitors will begin typing in the .tv version of their name out of curiosity to see what exists on the other side. If your company does not own it, someone else will profit from it.
While imagining what a business executive would do when faced with such a decision (without our knowledge), I thought of this issue:
