Lets face it, no one yet has been able to truly define Web 2.0.

Probably because it is an unfinished phenomenon and who knows what falls within the parameters of an unfinished project. What was Web 2.0 six months ago is old hat, never mind when O’reilly famously came up with the phrase in 2004.

And it seems that Web 2.0, whatever it is, is galloping along at an ever increasing speed.

This video though is in a class of its own. Submitted by an unknown “master” called Daniel to Sclipo, a Spanish social network site for showing how-to videos of all skills, the content is all user-generated and rated.

And Daniel explains everything that is Web 2.0 without uttering a single word!

Ready to broadcast your own tv show? And I mean live broadcast.

All you need is Mogulus, the internet, and a webcam, along with your talent and passion to communicate…..reads the wording on the Mogulus website.

Right now Mogulus is in serious Beta mode. The 700 beta applicants granted an authorization code to broadcast their own channel as of May 23rd can only do so on the Mogulus network.

A bit further down the road, Mogulus states “we plan to choose the best channels and allow the producer to embed the Mogulus viewer on their website or blog. This will give anybody on the internet a sneak peek at the great channels Mogulus can help create, even though we haven’t fully launched yet.”

This is a beta test of uStream technology.  We are broadcasting live from either individual homes or offices.

Please leave your comments regarding what you think.

The uStream servers have been known to have problems and frequently become overloaded, so if you see the word “Intermission” then please wait or leave a comment letting us know about your experience.  If you do not get to see a live feed, we apologize for any inconvenience.  Again, this is a beta test.

Well folks, having just launched our BrightCove channel, we decided that we would use it for our blogcasts too. Feel free to embed the interview in your own blogs and websites.

I do have to apologise for the sound quality in some parts of the interview. We are doing our homework on getting the best audio equipment possible as quickly as possible, but we want to make sure we buy right!!

Jeremy has kindly agreed to free up some time to talk to Allthings.tv in the early part of next week. I do have a list of questions that I will be putting to Jeremy concerning the BrightCove platform/network, different monetization models available to content producers aswell as publishers thinking about launching their own channel and his thoughts on the future of video on the net in general.

Ever since I first started domaining, I was always curious about the DN Journal. Not so much because of what was written in it, but who it was written by.

I come from a few different career backgrounds, including, in no particular order, property, banking and investments and telecoms. None of these prepared me for the cutthroat industry of domaining.

I waltzed in after reading an article about earning hundreds and thousands by parking silly names like flashgames.com. I knew then that the industry was waiting for me to arrive and really shake things up and I did, in 2006, and promptly dropped alot of money by being cleverer than everyone else.

Not generating anywhere near the buzz of the recent sale of Wall Street video blog Wallstrip to CBS, Worldhum, a thriving six year old travel blog, sold a few days ago for an undisclosed figure to TravelChannel.Com.

Here are a few reasons why the WorldHum deal was no “big deal” compared to Wallstrip.

Black20 Logo What do you do when you are a team of young writers and producers hired by NBC to produce a ‘dream’ show that is later sandbagged by politics, red tape, and wavering business strategies before its production?

If you said that you would walk out the building, hop in a car, and drive down to Atlantic City where you would bet half of your budget (which consists of all that you raised) on a single spin of the roulette wheel, feeling absolutely confident that you would win, then you might have some DNA in common with the team I write about today.

When the roulette ball came to rest, it landed in the slot labeled Black 20, which became the name of their new venture funded by the payoff associated with the 47.37% odds the black space carried.  While on film, these guys had the heart, gumption, and blind faith to bet all of their money on the black space of the roulette wheel.
